What if I’m not available at 6 a.m. when the Qi Challenge starts?

The 5-Day Challenge is NOT a “live” challenge. You do not need to be awake at 6 a.m. Pacific to do each daily routine.

Each daily routine email arrives in your inbox at 6 a.m. Pacific, but you’ll have until the end of the Qi Challenge (October 4th) to view it. Once any of the videos are posted, you can view them at any time and as many times as you’d like. These are not live classes.

I logged into the Qi Challenge and now it says I’m in the Video Class Subscription. I didn't sign up for the Video Class Subscription!

The Qi Gong Challenge comes with free access to our ongoing virtual Qi Gong classes for two weeks. At the end of the Qi Challenge when the two weeks are up your access will be simply removed and you will not be charged.

During these two weeks, you can explore the Video Class Subscription for free and try other routines in addition to the daily 20-minute Qi Gong Challenge routines.

Inside the Subscription, you'll find full hour-long routines, as well as samples of our Healing and Learning Series programs, and bonus classes too!

As the Qi Challenge draws to a close during the second week, you'll have the opportunity to keep your access to the Video Class Subscription. If you choose not to continue and/or do nothing, your access to the Qi Challenge/Video Class Subscription will automatically be removed from your account at the end of the Qi Challenge and you will NOT be charged.

Do I need a Facebook account to participate in the Qi Challenge?

You do not need a Facebook account to participate in our 5-Day  Qi Gong  Challenge, but you do need a Facebook account to qualify for a chance to win prizes during the challenge.

We use Facebook to help people connect with other members of our community during the Qi Challenge and to deliver daily prizes. Many people also share their experiences, personal stories, and offer encouragement through the group, so it's an energizing place to be.

Facebook participation is optional. But, if you want to connect with other students, receive supplemental videos, and participate in the daily prize drawings, then join us inside the Holden QiGong Community Facebook Group.

How do prizes work? How are winners selected for the daily prizes?

Each day of the challenge, you get a chance to win a prize. Just follow the instructions each day on how to qualify. Prizes are announced in the daily emails we send around 6 a.m. Pacific. The prize winners are announced the following day at 10 a.m. Pacific and you do NOT need to be present to win.

Winners are randomly selected. We verify they followed the instructions prior to announcing  winner. Only those who followed the instructions are qualified to win.

I tried to log in, but I’m taken to a page that says “I have not purchased this item and do not have access.” What should I do?

You may receive this message if your account has not been set up in our system yet. But if you receive this message after 6:00 am Pacific on the first day of the Qi Challenge, please contact our customer support team.

This could also occur if you were simultaneously registered to our free two-week trial of the Video Class Subscription and the trial ends during the Qi Challenge. Or, if you’ve simultaneously canceled your Video Class Subscription in the middle of the Qi Challenge.

For all of these reasons, our system may mistakenly remove your Qi Challenge access. If this happens to you, please contact our support team: [email protected].

The videos take too long to load or buffer/stutter when they play. What can I do?

We’re sorry to hear this.

This is likely caused by a poor internet connection, your computer may be too low on available resources, or the video quality may be set too high.

Below are some suggestions to help improve your viewing experience. (Note: for best performance, we recommend using a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet to play our videos… not your smartphone.)

Our routines stream at a rate that should automatically adjust for your bandwidth by default but you may get better results by adjusting the quality of the video to a lower setting. There may be some hiccups if you don’t have a higher bandwidth Internet.

1. The number one thing you can do to eliminate stuttering in your videos is to make sure you're using a strong internet or WiFi connection.

2. If you don’t have a strong internet or WiFi connection, try reducing the quality of the video stream by clicking the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the video.

In the dropdown menu, you will see options for resolution of the video (see image below). We suggest trying "Auto", so the computer can decide which definition version it can best handle. Then close and reopen a new tab, log back into your account and try playing the videos again.

This should resolve the stuttering issue if the problem is slow or inconsistent bandwidth.

3. If the video still stutters, it might mean that your computer is working too hard, rather than a bandwidth or routing issue.

In this case, you should try closing all unnecessary programs, as well as any other applications that may be using your internet in the background.

4. Vimeo is our video provider, and it could be that you have a route through the internet to their servers that happens to be congested (often only at certain times of day).

You can try watching some high-definition videos here on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/watch to see if you have similar problems.

5. Finally, we recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox as your default internet browser. This may significantly help if you’re experiencing streaming issues.

It looks like your website is down. What can I do?

We’re very sorry for this.

If our site is down, we’re probably experiencing a large spike in visitors that our technology can’t handle.

We monitor our systems closely during the Qi Challenge and, if any Qi Challenge page you visit is down, we are likely already aware there is a problem and are working hard to get it back up as soon as possible.

Feel free to drop into our Facebook group for status updates. We’ll keep you posted!

I purchased the Video Class Subscription but when I try to log in I’m taken to a page that says “I have not purchased this item and do not have access.” What happened?

If you are receiving this error message after the Qi Challenge concludes and you purchased the Video Class Subscription, it is possible that you got caught up in a system-wide sweep removing access for Qi Challengers who did not subscribe.

We’re so sorry!

If you believe this has happened to you, please contact the customer support team right away at [email protected].
